Mozn Foundation Completes Emergency Education Project for Displaced and Vulnerable Students in Al-Jawf.

By the grace of Allah, and in line with its goals to improve and strengthen the educational process in affected areas, Mozn Charitable Development Foundation has successfully completed the Emergency Education Interventions Project for displaced and most vulnerable students.

The project was implemented with funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). The Foundation delivered the targeted schools (Al-Thawra, Al-Khanq, Majar) in the areas of Al-Yatma, Wadi Khub, and Al-Marhana in Khub and Shaaf District after completing construction, rehabilitation, and furnishing works for the relevant authorities.

The key activities of the project included:

  • Distribution of 500 school bags, 4 recreational kits, and 14 blackboards
  • Supporting schools with 100 chairs and double desks
  • Construction of 5 new classrooms
  • Building 4 latrines
  • Completion of 5 classrooms
  • Rehabilitation of 8 classrooms and construction of a perimeter wall with main gate installation
  • Providing the schools with 3 solar systems
  • Formation and training of parent councils in the targeted areas

The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Khalid Shajea, Director of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs – Al-Jawf Branch, the Director of Education in the District, school principals, and local community leaders.

Representing Mozn Foundation, the handover included Executive Director Eng. Taha Al-Murtada, Mr. Issa Al-Sharjabi, Mr. Sadiq Al-Shazly, the Project Engineer Mr. Khalid Ameir, and the Project Contractor Mr. Mohammed Hamoud Al-Barashi.
