Empowering Women through Livestock & Skills Training in Al-Jawf with UNFPA Support

With the support of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Yemen and as part of the multi-sector services and economic empowerment project through safe spaces for vulnerable women and girls in Al‑Jawf Governorate, the Mozn Charitable Development & Social Foundation is working to empower weak women and girls to earn their livelihoods, become self-reliant, and provide an income for themselves and their families. In the districts of (Al-Hazm and Al-Mutun) in Al-Jawf Governorate, 40 trainees acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of livestock raising and fattening. At the end of the training, the beneficiaries were provided with empowerment tool-kits and each beneficiary received the following:

  • 4 heads of small ruminants (3 females + 1 male)
  • A sunshade umbrella
  • A water bottle and a backpack

It is worth mentioning that this activity is part of a series of interventions that the foundation is implementing during 2024 under the supervision of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs – Al-Jawf Branch.
