For a better future for women and girls, and through the Economic Empowerment Program—which is considered a key condition for sustainable development and achieving the desired equality—Mozn Charitable Development Foundation continues its efforts to empower women and girls in Al-Jawf Governorate.
Within the framework of the Multi-Sectoral Services and Economic Empowerment Project through Safe Spaces for Women and Girls, supported by UNFPA Yemen, the Foundation implemented training sessions focused on livestock breeding and fattening.
A total of 80 vulnerable women from the districts of Al-Ghail and Al-Matammah received essential knowledge and practical skills in animal husbandry, including how to benefit from livestock products, identify common diseases, and apply preventive measures.
At the end of the training, empowerment toolkits were distributed to the participants. Each family received:
- 4 small ruminants (3 females and 1 male)
- Sunshades
- Water containers and backpacks
It is worth mentioning that this activity comes as part of a series of initiatives implemented by the Foundation during the last quarter of 2023, under the supervision of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs – Al-Jawf Branch.
