.For a better future for women and girls—and through the economic-empowerment programme, which is an essential condition for sustainable development and achieving the desired equality—Mozn Charitable Development & Social Foundation, via its multi-sector services and economic empowerment project through safe spaces for vulnerable women and girls in Al‑Jawf Governorate (supported by United Nations Population Fund Yemen), is qualifying women and girls in economic-empowerment programmes in the field of livestock raising and fattening. In the districts of Al‑Ghail District and Al‑Mutun District in Al-Jawf, 40 vulnerable women received the knowledge and skills necessary for livestock raising, how to benefit from its yields, and awareness of diseases that may affect livestock and means of prevention. At the end of the training, empowerment kits were distributed to the trainees, where each household received the following:

  • 4 heads of small ruminants (3 females + 1 male)
  • A sunshade umbrella
  • A water-bottle and a backpack

It is worth mentioning that this activity is part of a series of programmes implemented by the Foundation during the year 2024 under the supervision of the Supreme Council for the Management & Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs – Al‑Jawf Branch.
